Homework Due Monday

Bring printout (paper copy) of your homework to class or email before Monday.

What to do :

1) Take notes on the Crucible (pg. 166-170). Demonstrate your reading comprehension. It is often helpful to think of a story as episodic, or not just being one big story but having related parts or episodes.

Some helpful questions to consider when you are taking notes.

Setting:        Where did the episode happen?
                    When did the episode happen?
Characters:  Who was the episode about?
Who were the people in the episode?
Who was the most important person in the episode?
Problem:      Did the people have a problem?
What was the big problem that episode was about?
Action:        What did the people do to solve the problem?
What were the important things that happened in the episode?
Resolution:  How did the people solve the problem?
                    How did the episode end?
Theme:       What lesson could we learn from the episode?
                   What tied the episode together?
                   Was there an overarching message?

2) Create a personal vocabulary list and write definitions for them. Attach the vocabulary list  as a separate section to the end of your  notes.
